The Vietnam Moving Wall

The Vietnam Moving Wall will be at Rentschler Field in East Hartford on October 16-October 19. This event is sure to be spectacular, not only will the moving wall be there but the Marine Corps Silent Drill Team will be performing on October 17. Admission is FREE. The wall is open 24hrs a day.

Connecticut's Salute to All Veterans

The State VFW is hosting a salute to all of Connecticut's Veterans, this event is to held at Brainard Field from Friday October 3- Sunday October 5. Please join us is this salute. There will be vehicles and aircraft from different era's. For more information please visit www.veteranssalute.org

Memorial Day Parade 2008

Remembering our Heros on this day, and the ones who are protecting us. Also remember the public servants who have died in the line of duty. Thank you.

Our Memorial Day Parade kicked off at 0930, starting at the Army-Navy club proceeding to Munro Park, and then to Center Park. A wreath laying was at the Vietnam Memorial, and the Memorials on Center Street, and a final speech at Center Park.

Thanks to John Robotto, Gene Bacon, Bob Russell, Art Thompson, William Lynn, Chet Chetelat, Bill Pomeroy, Chris Kunz & Joe Hachey for their participation in the color guard and rifle squad.

Memorial Day Parade May 26

The Memorial Day Parade this year kicks off at 0930 at the Army Navy Club, up Main Street, down East Center and turns at Monroe Park Yacross from Lenox Drug). The Parade will end in Center Park with a speaking program.
All town offices and the libraries will be closed.
Trash will not be collected and will be delayed by one day for the rest of the week.
